Our "Follows For Flood Victims" with Country Music Cares on Twitter has ended! PLN's immediate total was 159, so $159 was donated tonight for the Nashville Chapter of the Red Cross! Because we have some wonderful folks over on the boards that wanted to match our donation for the campaign, PLN donated a total of $636 today for the disaster relief funds just from your follows on Twitter! Thanks to everyone who helped us reach such a great goal! Please don't forget that if you want to donate to the Red Cross, you can do so here: Middle Tennessee Red Cross Chapters. You have the options to select for your donation to go towards the Disaster Relief (and you can specifically select the Flood Relief), and can pick the area you want it to go towards.

And, if you want to do some volunteering, and you'll be in town to see our girl at CMA Fan Fest....you can register at Hands on Nashville to sign up for projects. Having personally spent the past week at friends homes that had to be completely gutted, I can say Nashville needs all the hands we can get! Please note that relief efforts must go through Hands On Nashville to receive FEMA aid, so it's very important to register!

First off- WMLB 1690 revamped their site and added back the Emory interview they did back in December - if you missed the interview, you can listen to the 2 clips here (and he talks about P in the 2nd clip) --- and for a bonus, they added a little snippet that was NOT included in the aired interview. You can listen to the new bonus clip here.

And, we added some new photos to the gallery tonight--- while on the subject of Emory, we had some new "old" photos of him sent in (Thanks Alan! :) )- you can view those here. And then one new pic of Patty & Emory here! And, stay tuned, we'll have videos up on PattyTube tonight.

Also, I have turned off commenting in the Media Archive. We’re getting slammed with Spammers that I have no patience to fool with. Discussions on articles can go in the boards. We are not turning off commenting in PattyTube, but you must register in order to comment or rate any videos.

Lastly, if you are attempting to visit the Gallery or Forums and receive an Internal Error, please refresh. It should load after that. We're working on fixing the problem on that server. I would love to merge and get PLN on two servers versus the three we have everything on now, but am very hesitant to do a massive move on the boards. Anyway, just be patient, refresh, and let us get it fixed : )

Patty tweeted tonight encouragement to donate to the relief efforts: Call 1-877-345-1522 to donate to Nashville Flood Relief. My buddy Vince Gill is hosting the telethon. Please give what u can.

As a Nashvillian, I was very fortunate to only have minimal damage to my home with my family completely unharmed. So many people around us were not that fortunate. As I spend my days after work helping friends who were majorly affected, I can tell you how so many of these homes have lost absolutely everything. We encourage everyone to donate any sum to the Nashville Red Cross Chapter, and I promise absolutely any amount makes a difference. For anyone who simply can't--- by following people who have joined the efforts of Country Music Cares, you ARE helping. We've had over 100 new followers, and have upped the amount to $1.00 per new follower--and some incredible pln'ers are going to match whatever PLN donates! So, follow us - and follow everyone else on the list that signed up to help raise money! (And if you're local, please sign up to help volunteer! Visit Hands on Nashville. If you can't do physical labor, there are plenty of other things to sign up for, from passing out food and water to helping the Red Cross man their phones.)
